Mimos in Périgueux 2025: “Underground”, head underground

Actor Romain Bertet delivers a stunning performance at Gamenson Park
"It's not comfortable. The poor man. You almost want to help him," said a spectator of "Underground", presented this Friday, July 4 at the Gamenson Park as part of the "in" of Mimos , the festival of the performing arts of Périgueux (Dordogne).
And for good reason. Actor Romain Bertet appears with his head buried in the earth. He makes small movements, fidgets, straightens up, and stands on end. A dancer who has worked with Maguy Marin, he delivers a stunning performance. "I've always been passionate about archaeology, underground worlds, and memory. I created two indoor shows on these subjects. Then I wanted to break free from the artifice of theater. "Underground" is now in its sixth season." Accompanied by sound effects and music, the artist tells a story of disappearance and rebirth in an unexpected form.
A new performance is scheduled for this Saturday, July 5, at 11 a.m., again at Gamenson Park. Tickets: €10 and €8.
